Sabur Baidya, PhD

I am Sabur Baidya, a Postdoctoral Scholar in the ECE department at UC San Diego, currently, working on the Smart Transportation and Innovation Program (STIP). My research interests span across Intelligent and Autonomous Systems including Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Internet of Things (IoT), Wireless Communication and Networks (WiFi, Cellular 4G/5G), Distributed Systems, Edge/Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Adaptive Video Streaming.

I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from University of California Irvine in 2019 and Masters in Computer Science from University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. In Summer 2012, I was a visiting researcher in the WINLAB of Rutgers University.  During my studies, I had research internship experience in Nokia Bell Labs, Huawei Research labs and Blackberry, as well as prior work experience as a Software Engineer in Cisco Systems and Systems Engineer at IBM.
