Research Biography

I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Dept. at UC San Diego. I am planning to graduate in summer 2005, and am actively seeking job opportunities in research labs or in the industry. You can find my job application materials here.

My main research interests are in embedded systems and platform-based system-of-chips. My Ph.D. dissertation is on the design and run-time management of configurable platform hardware components (configurable CPUs, memories, buses, caches) in an application-specific manner, to enable superior application performance, efficient utilization of platform resources, and improved energy efficiency. I am also interested in system-level CAD for VLSI, VLSI testing and multi-processor SoCs. My advisor is Prof. Sujit Dey who heads the Mobile Embedded Systems Design and Test (MESDAT) group at UCSD. You can find out more about my various research projects here.

I did my MS too at UC San Diego in 2001 under Prof. Sujit Dey, during which I worked on self-test techniques for different SoC components.

I did my B.Tech (Hons.) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1999. During my senior year I worked with Prof. P.P.Chakrabarti and Prof. P.Dasgupta, on the formal verification of arithmetic circuits using binary and word-level decision diagrams.
